Cookie Policy

Last revised: 3 June 2026

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie codegear.help can set, why, and for how long. We keep the list deliberately short — we dislike bloated tracking as much as you do.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These make core features work and are set without consent because the site cannot function without them:

  • PHP session cookie. Keeps your visit session together and carries the security token that protects our contact form from forged submissions. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • cc_cookie. Remembers the consent choice you make in the cookie banner, so we do not ask on every page. Kept for six months.

2. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you accept the analytics category in our banner, we set cookies that help us understand — in aggregate — which pages are read, how visitors arrive and where they give up. We use this to improve content and page speed. These cookies do not identify you personally to us, and we do not combine them with enquiry data. Kept for up to 13 months.

3. What we do not use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No cross-site profiling of any kind.

4. Changing your mind

You can reopen the consent panel at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page, and switch analytics on or off. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings — every major browser documents how under "clear browsing data".

5. Questions

Anything unclear, ask: [email protected]. For how we handle personal data generally, see the Privacy Policy.
