This policy explains how CodeGear Studio Sdn Bhd ("CodeGear Studio", "we", "us"), registration number 202301038452 (1527164-M), of Level 21, Q Sentral, 2A Jalan Stesen Sentral 2, KL Sentral, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, handles personal data in connection with this website, codegear.help. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

1. Data we collect

We collect personal data you choose to give us and a small amount of technical data created by your visit:

• Enquiry data. When you submit our contact form, call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about your project.
• Correspondence. Emails and messages exchanged with us during and after an engagement.
• Technical data. IP address, browser type, pages viewed and approximate visit times, collected through server logs and — only if you consent — analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

2. Why we process it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare proposals you have asked for.
• To perform contracts: project management, invoicing, support and care-plan work.
• To meet legal obligations, including tax and company-law record keeping.
• To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this site so we can improve it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing broadcasts without your separate, explicit consent.

3. Where your data lives and who sees it

Enquiry and project data is stored on access-controlled systems used by our team in Kuala Lumpur. Limited data is processed by service providers we rely on to operate — hosting, email and appointment scheduling — each bound by their own data-protection commitments. Some providers store data outside Malaysia; where that is the case we choose providers with safeguards consistent with the PDPA.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Project and financial records are kept for seven years to satisfy Malaysian statutory requirements, then destroyed.

5. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent to processing, or limit how we use it. Write to [email protected] with the subject line "Data request" and we will respond within 21 days. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to work with you, and we will say so plainly if it does.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across this site, restrict internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and keep our systems patched under the same care regime we sell to clients. No internet system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data ever occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, the revision date above moves and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you directly.
